I was really happy to provide flowers for their wedding, as Folly Farm had been one my preferred venues if we had chosen to get married in the UK, rather than France. It was also a pleasure meeting Kirsty, Andrew and their family. They wanted a relaxed, casual and fun day. They had also created so many of the personal touches, which looked amazing on the day.
Flower wise, Kirsty wanted the relaxed look to follow through. She also wanted seasonal flowers. Our choices in locally grown flowers were limited for that time of year, but I used a selection of seasonal flowers with a bright mix of colours.
For the tables, Kirsty wanted a mix of jam jars to fit with the theme. I opted for three different styles per arrangements, which included a potted rosemary in a terracotta pot lightly sprayed with gold, brightly coloured primroses in little copper buckets, and a mix of jam jars filled with beautiful, bright seasonal flowers, which had all been previously decorated by Kirsty beforehand. I added little tags to the pots and the buckets to let the guests know that they could take them home.
