Last week we celebrated the return of Spring (yay!) and what better way to celebrate than a workshop teaching a lovely group how to make their very own Spring hand-tied Bouquet. The workshop took place at the Floating Harbour Studios, which is a boat, or more specifically, a converted 1905 steel dutch barge moored in an enviable secluded spot on the water in the heart of the city. A perfect location for a twilight workshop!
The girls from OVO Energy joined me straight after work. The Floating Studios had prepared some warm & cold canapes, as well as a selection of hot & cold drinks. Once they’d had a bit to eat and drink, they got to work!
What I love most about workshops, is passing on knowledge on how to create something beautiful, and also to see everyone’s individual style come to life. I remember this from my days at flower school too, although we would all have access to the same flowers, we all ended up with very individual arrangements ♥
The girls did a great job, from conditioning the flowers, to selecting their stems, all the way to perfecting their spirals and wrapping their bouquets to take home, I had a great time!
Special thanks to Emily from The Floating Harbour for making the organisation and the night itself so easy to run (and for the gorgeous photos!) and thanks to my mum who helped me on the night (I always seem to put my family to work when they come to visit!).

Emerald & Jade Flowers should also be moving to new premises soon where we will be able to welcome you for our very own workshops, so watch this space 🙂
