I met Izzi and Chris at a wedding fair I did last year. They were initially due to be married next summer, but when they found out there would soon be a happy arrival, they decided to move the wedding forward. As such, when Izzi contacted me for her wedding flowers, the wedding was due to take place just over a month later. I already had a two week holiday booked in so we met just before I went and got talking flowers and planning.
Izzi loves peonies, and all the bouquets she loved on Pinterest were full of gorgeous, bright peonies. Unfortunately, peonies are no longer available end of August. However, there were lots of beautiful, bright dahlias around, and I knew just the person to order them from. Liz has a flower farm just outside of Bristol, Pipley Flowers. We were in luck as Liz had the most beautiful flowers available, including a wide variety of dahlias. Amongst these were the stunning Cafe au Lait dahlias! On the day, Izzi said that her flowers were even better than peonies ♥
Izzi and I had great fun planning her wedding flowers, and Chris even helped me out on the day of the wedding itself. It is always such an honour to be part of a couple’s wedding day. I love going to the venue in the morning and seeing everyone getting ready, the staff prepping the venue, the bride being all smiles with her girls, the guests starting to arrive… I love it all!
Izzi and Chris are such a lovely couple, I am so happy I got to be part of their wedding day. I wish them a lifetime of happiness and I can’t wait to meet their new arrival!

How did you meet?
We met in the Mount Batten Bar in Plymouth where we worked together for about 2 years.
How did the proposal take place?
During a mini break in Cornwall near Izzi’s home, we went for a walk and stopped for a photo overlooking a view of the beach (where we have stopped for the same photo for the past 4 years on our anniversary) and Chris popped the question! Then we went for a pint of cider in the pub!
How did the wedding planning go?
Quickly! And still going. doing things in short space of time has made us more decisive and actually been a good thing.
What inspired your style for the big day and how would you describe it?
I don’t think I’m a typical “bride” so I wanted things, style wise, to reflect mine and Chris’s own styles. We were both aware of how we wanted the day to feel, and how we wanted our guests to feel : really happy, and for it to be a fun loving day.
